Born in post-apartheid South Africa, raised in Italy, Lauren graduated from UCLA’s prestigious production graduate program. Before she left school she had joined the DGA, after directing Second Unit on Plush, a Catherine Hardwicke (Thirteen, Twilight) feature. She followed this up with producing and directing City Bus starring Ahna O’Reilly (The Help) that won best director and best narrative short at the 2017 IFS Festival and the Los Angeles International Underground Film Festival. Don’t Come Back from the Moon (with Jeff Wahlberg, Rashida Jones, James Franco), a feature Lauren went on to produce, won Best Director at the 2017 LA Film Festival. She’s currently finishing up an interactive video for director/photographer Tyler Shields.
